A simple minded type of person,
who would only like to be amused,
who doesn't know the meaning
of cheating away a life to choose.
Enters the evilness of truth,
unveiling a world of new,
occurrances subdue.
Ideas and realities take form,
outlining a coward to be used
repeatedly over again and again.
So thick in the skull,
a dense mind not open to a few
obvious and mindless changes.
If only the mundane and ordinary
would not prove to be this bland hue
of colors taken in and changed
only to protect you.
But once expanded thoughts arise
its hard to go back without diguise
to hide a distraught glance
of a world taken by chance.
Inviting others to come along,
if only they knew how
to chant the song,
to unfold the differences
between right and wrong.

This is a really deep piece merlot. I enjoyed reading it though for the perfect expression and emotion displayed throughout.

I particulary liked the line, "So thick in the skull,a dense mind not open to a few
obvious and mindless changes." For some reason I read this and went, WOW!

Great work.

your poem is hard for me to follow, but i can tell some thought and feeling had to emerge, possibly from a great depth, your poem is well worded and i enjoyed reading it despite my shortcomings.

Bec

i never thought i'd die alone, i laughed the loudest who'd have known?
i traced the cord back to the wall, no wonder it was never plugged in at all
i took my time, i hurried up
the choice was mine i didn't think enough
I'm too depressed to go on, you'll be sorry when i'm gone
I never conquered, rarely came
16 just held such better days
Days when i still felt alive, we couldn't wait to get outside
The world was wide, too late to try
The tour was over i'd survived
I couldn't wait till i got home, to pass the time in my room alone
I never thought i'd die alone, another six months I'll be unknown
Give all my things to my friends, you'll never set foot in my room again
You'll close it off, board it up
Remember the time i spilled the cup
Of apple juice in the hall, please tell mum this is not her fault
I never conquered, rarely came
But tomorrow holds such better days
Days when i can still feel alive, when i can't wait to get outside
The world was wide, the time goes by
The tour is over, i've survived
I can't wait till i get home, to pass the time in my room alone
