The Nightly Torture

I sit, so still there in my bed
Thoughts of fear racing through my head
Nightmares making me wish I was dead
I scream, but no one hears me...

Shivers go up my spine in fright
Tossing and turning all through the night
If only you could make things right
And tame the monsters that I see...

These beasts, they come up through the floor
Through the walls and my locked door,
"Please, go away! Haunt me no more!"
And yet they stay, ignoring my plea...

They stop their moans; I hear the rain
Every drop makes me wince in pain
It begins to drive me insane
Out jumps my heart, as crashes the tree...

Then all is quiet, deathly still
Just as a lion before the kill
I shut my eyes, the fear does fill
And I am left alone. I flee.

hmmm, very nice poem, tho not something that u should read right before going to bed... I think it is going to give me nightmares..... Hmmm, well I'll just think of my Stacy angel

I am lost in my own mind.

Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice
From what I've tasted of desire,
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To say that for destruction ice
Is also great,
And would suffice.

Ok, I can tell you why I haven't read this yet...firstly it wasn't here before I went to bed and secondly...please read....doesn't do anything for me!

Very good poem though! Next time, please avoid the please read thing. That goes for everyone!

Love and hugs,
Lizzie

Good work.  That's a really freaky poem!  I loved it.
