I wrote this last year, it's my very first Sonnet, hope it is alright! *My Dearest Romeo* A bright light glows from the endless dark night Peeking closer, a face comes into view I dash to the figure shining so bright Oh my sweet Romeo, it must be you! A gentle touch of your hand to my cheek Then a soft tender kiss beneath the moon Is this, my love, why I've become so weak? Dearest Romeo, please don't leave so soon You are the great Sun and I a red rose Your golden sunshine fills me up with love Clouds come and go, but you come to expose Your love for me from the sky up above Kiss me once again before you must go Promise you'll always be my Romeo. |
