(to my friend...1984/07/31 - 2000/04/15)

God has new angel
up in heaven today.
You had to leave us 'cause
on earth you weren't ment to stay.

This is a bitter pill
that we all must swallow.
It feels so unreal,
like you will be back tomorrow.

Your chains were unlocked
and now you are free,
free to fly high
were with God you'll be.

We shouldn't be sad,
we know it's true,
but losing you friend
is a hard thing to do.

But deep in our hearts
are the footprints you made,
and as long as we're here,
your memories will never fade.

God has a new angel
up in heaven today.
Goodbye dear Jessica,
'till we meet again, someday.

This is a beautiful tribute poem for your friend....I am so sorry for your loss. My favorite verse was

But deep in our hearts
are the footprints you made,
and as long as we're here,
your memories will never fade.

I love the way you express that. Again, I am truly sorry for this tragic loss. Be strong till you meet her again in a better place.

Thanks again Lizzie...it still feels so unreal, but it doesn't matter how much we cry, it woun't bring her back.
