For a friend. You where my friend, I know I called you more, You helped me through the bad times, Even though most of them were called for. I know you better than myself, I can tell when something’s not right, We talk about nothing all the time, And even the fights are fun fights. Nothing really mattered, I knew you and you knew me, Sometimes you were vacant, But it wasn’t because of me. I dealt with your bad moods, You helped my spirit glisten, I wrote you when I needed someone to talk to, You wrote me when you needed someone to listen. We had our differences, Everyone does, But that doesn’t mean we’re different, We share the same loves. Even though you might love wrestling, While I prefer the arts, We have one thing in common, We both listen to our hearts. And while we will always be apart, In a way we are together, If our friendship can survive what it already has, We both know it’s forever. |
