When I think of you, there’s no feelings to hide,
Thoughts roll in smooth and flow like the tide.
When the night falls and the ocean is glitter,
The trees are tired and the air is bitter,
Clouds roll in and blanket the sky,
Midnight birds in their formation fly.
The shining of moonglow is so elegant
You are truly an Angel Heaven sent.
To Love me or not, I do not know
So why is it that you taunt me so?
Hair so soft, smooth like the wet spring grass
And every time your eyes close a new season will pass.
No instrument is sweeter than the sound of your voice,
If it came down to Loving you I would have no choice.
You ascend more Beautiful with each passing day,
Your laugh takes me back to a child at play.
So innocent, so sweet. So kind and so pure,
For this type of Love there is no cure.
Only to have, and only to hold,
Alone, together and we’ll slowly mold.
Mold into Beauty, mold into one,
A smile so warm as you are the sun.
Your eyes close and summer is here,
Your skin so soft like that of cashmere.
I close my eyes and I take your hand,
I open them up and I’m lying in the sand.
Satisfaction, here on the beach,
Then it is me who you take time to teach.
Teach me of Beauty, teach me of grace,
But no need to speak because I see your face.
That is enough, enough to know,
Am I up to the challenge with my Love to show?
You close your eyes and the leaves start to crawl
The trees stand naked and it is now Fall.
You suddenly moved behind a dark cloud,
Your once calm laugh became fairly loud.
Taunting again as your breath played between the trees,
As it picked up and danced with the dying leaves.
And just as easy as you made it day,
You laughed once again and they spun away.
When it is nighttime and you have something to show,
Instead of your whisper you rattle my window.
“More Beauty?” you ask “before you sleep sound”
And you take me and show me the frost on the ground.
Oh so Beautiful, it could only be you,
Just a few months ago that frost was the dew.
But, Baby I’m cold, you need to come out,
You’re filling my feelings with sorrow and doubt.
You close your eyes with winter arrive,
So cold and so lonely how will I survive.
Roses on the ground wither in pain,
Cold snow falls from the sky instead of the rain.
Trees no longer speak for to each other unknown,
The lakes and the mountains stand frozen alone.
There are no roses, no daisies or any flowers
And I wait in vain for your sweet sunshowers.
Looking around me and I start to cry,
As everything you put here is starting to die.
I run through the streets asking where Love went wrong,
What happened to our mold, our Beauty so strong.
But then through the walls, the Angels in choir,
And I looked through the window to see a fire.
There you were, making others warm
A fire in my heart and we started to form.
And again I felt you, from a great while,
As I was warmed and comforted again by your smile.
When the night fell I was unable to rest,
As I suddenly realized that this was a test.
I will Love you when it’s warm, or when it’s cold,
My Love for you will always be bold.
The ocean can grow arctic, the lakes and rivers freeze,
The air can be dry and leaves fall from the trees.
The sun and the moon could get in a fight,
It could always be day and never be night.
The stars could cry and the clouds could cover,
All of this could happen yet I wouldn’t suffer.
Never again disappointment or whining,
My Love for you is like the sun as it never stops shining.
To the ends of the earth for you I will run,
My duty for you is never done.
And then a kiss, and then a kiss
An Angel of Beauty I will never miss.
I have always Loved you, now and even then,
Oh my Dear God, is this Heaven?
The seasons have so many questions, so large in mass,
Please tell me dear Angel, Did I pass?

~Thanks again for reading this poem. It’s the longest I have ever written and is just one of my ideas of Love.  Love can change as quickly as the seasons but, we still have to be strong and prove our feelings.~

Hey, thank you for sharing this with us!! This is a beautiful poem, I agree with the sentiments you express so beautifully. Don't apologize about length, it made me want to keep reading!

I didn't find it long at all because I was so wrapped up in reading it! An excellent poem you have here. The expression in it is wonderful.

You have great insight, Madden18.  I have recently gone through the wintery seasons of love and have come through to the springtime again.  Truly beautiful words, you kept me intranced.
