Lightening flashes in your eyes
with anger and frustration
Confusion is written all over your face
as you said, " I don't know what to do."
You had said you loved me still
and I can't deny that a part of
me loves you still too.

Hurt and stubborn pride flash
through my eyes as I find myself
in the same predicament.
I don't know what to do.

I don't want to love
I don't want to leave
I don't want to hurt
you.

Now, before you leave,
I just say that no matter
what, I'll always be there
even though
I don't know what to do.

Exellent work, I can definitely feel your pain here. It is an awful thing when one just doesn't know what to do or where to go.

Pain, sorrow, bitterness and resentment are difficult things to know how to deal with. You need to search deep within yourself for the answers. It is a combination of your heart and your head that will lead you down the right path. Well written piece.

i have totally been here before and i know that it sucks really bad. but everything worked out for me i guess. it just takes time like everything else. otherwise keep up the good work. it was a really good poem.

Everybody who replied to this so far has said anything I would have wanted to. I have to say, I agree with Marilyn, search within yourself for the answers, they are there inside your mind and heart.
