So this, the final song, my love I'll ever write to you Be sure to heed each word I write For every one is true I've loved you for so long, my love Although you did not care And I'll hold your mem'ry close, my dear 'Though love we'll never share You've ripped and torn my heart, my love With each kind word you've said To someone else and all the while I imagined it was me instead And then one day I saw, my love How little you cared for me That day I broke down and cried You had not heard my plea I just wanted love in return, my love Was that so much to ask? How hard cuold it be to care for me a little For you an impossible task And so now you see, my love Because you didn't want to know You've lost a friend, and love, my dear For you I'll never again show. |

I really like this poem and I can relate to it. Very beautifully written! -- Crystal "The worst of what people do to one another is deceive. Because when you love someone you control their version of reality. If you lie to them that's like making them autistic so that what they believe is reality is in fact, not their true situation at all." It's not the angry words that break the heart, it's the silence. Someone said that true love is like a ghost -- often spoke of but never seen. I've seen both and yet in my darkest hours, tend to believe that neither exits. |
