Continue this poem, but follow the same rhyme scheme, ABAB. Let's see what this will turn into. Choking minutes with her hands Slowly squeezing the aorta, Nature, with her frozen glance, Proves to us that she’s immortal. Naked trees in passion sway, Sweeping stars, while none will fall. Icy puddles mark my way-- Dark like windows to one’s soul. Frozen doves rest on the cable They observe the pale sky. Wind-- the hand that rocks the cradle, Softly sings a lullaby. Thus I linger, sad and dreary, Breathing in the silent night. Shaking lips still prove my theory, It’s so cold-- dreams freeze in flight. |

Icy hand upon the shoulder Holds my body in its place Inside or out, To tell the colder, is a most difficult case. Heart cooled to the strength of stone Left to crack upon collision Chills itself Down to the bone Deadly in its cool precision. Cloudy breath consumes the air then fades within its uselessness. Left to nothing but dispair And I to find the use in this.... |

Master This is a great idea, your poem was excellent and Kevin's follow on is as well. I'm sending this back up to the top in the hope that others will read and follow. Good Luck Keep all the windows of your mind open Anne Rooks |

Prisoner of dusk and stone My mind falls with the night With eyes that cut her to the bone And God ignores our plight An ancient sun who turns her head And grants the demons leave I cannot breathe amongst the dead My soul shall never grieve The chilling dark behind her eyes The face that knows not truth A vacant stare, her own disguise My memories, our youth *There is no destination where we are Please take me somewhere far Far away from this world of mine* (by me) |

Hey everyone, let's keep adding on to this! It has the potential of being a great poem, but so far there are only three people who have worked on it. I know ya'll are all very creative, so lets prove it, okay?? Okay! I love everyone! *peace* Meredith *There is no destination where we are Please take me somewhere far Far away from this world of mine* (by me) |

I strongly agree, Tracie. Hey Master, I guess you've got to write another stanza, and then Kevin and I will too. Tracie, why don't you add on?? Love you guys..... *~Meredith~* *There is no destination where we are Please take me somewhere far Far away from this world of mine* (by me) |

HOw's this? it's not that new, but I cannot seem to write anything now. Weary stars stand still while glancing, As their eyelids freeze with frost. In the moonlight-- shadows dancing, Arms and legs and fates have crossed. As though ancient hieroglyphics, Carved upon the pale wall, Phantoms of the sleepless evenings In eternity enthralled. All is turning, all is twirling, One more step and we will soar. Shapes of shadows, spinning, whirling, In the moonlight, on the floor. Hungry eyes light up the night, In the twilight’s masquerade, They declare with solemn pride, “Rather burn than simply fade.” |

Now with Midnight's hour near Faces twist in hollowed pride Pagans whisper 'it is here' Death has come to take his bride Shadows swarm, as haunted words Echoe through the frozen mud In my chest a horror burns And everywhere the taste of blood Desperately I turn my face As the darkness dissappears Memories I can't erase Follow me throughout the years *There is no destination where we are Please take me somewhere far Far away from this world of mine* (by me) |

Memories of days gone by Haunt me through the narrow streets From the time I've learned to fly Up to now, my heart still bleeds. Where's the star to light my way, Like in books that I have read? Only lonesome clouds still sway, Ravens soar above my head! Step by step, I'm closer still To where my shadow will not rise I feel the goosbumps from the chill, Stairs are shinning in my eyes! |

Hark, the world is fading grey Shadows streak across the sky Destiny shall have her prey There is none but She and I Helplessly I watch my seconds Slipping through her hour-glass Silence falls, her finger beckons This my end, my final mass One foot forward, then the other Cold consumes and kills my breath "Dear, God made us for eachother" So now I go and meet my death *There is no destination where we are Please take me somewhere far Far away from this world of mine* (by me) |

Death is stayed, the clouds have parted, Light shines warm upon my face. Life again, around me started, Death has lost this retched race. By a touch, a softest whisper, Nature's cycle starts anew. Now we're born, no longer suffer, Winter's harshness, turning blue. Seasons change, death, renewal, Life is moving, changing still. Watch we with each new upheaval, How we grow with each new chill. |
