Lying in a field of soft, fresh flowers,
Under a mellow sky of blue and white,
No cares, no pain, no strife,
We let our hearts do the work.
And I fell in love with you.

We spoke gently to each other,
Showed our love with all we did.
I was your shoulder to cry on,
A shelter in the storm.
And you fell in love with me.

You said you needed me,
I told you I'd never leave.
We meant every word we said;
You leaned on me, I leaned on you.
And together, we fell in love.

Just hold me close and tell me you love me.
Let your arms be my comfort,
Let my arms be your strength.
I'll never hurt you, I'll never leave you.
I love you.

The truth will attend to itself.
