This happened to a friend of mine and I wrote this for her I hope you like it. My Mother Said Once my mother said love is a beautiful thing, So I fell in love. Once my mother said that hate is an ugly thing, So I stoped hating. Once my mother said that friends were a neccesity to life, So I got more friends. Then I turned 15. Then my mother said that love was fantastic but to wait, So I fell futher in love then I should, I didn't wait. Now my daughter is 7 and I am 22 and she listens to every word I say. Now I hope she remembers what my mother said. -Stacye Walters- |

Having a child that early in age is a bit frightening. We realize and learn from our mistakes and try to keep others from doing the same. Nice poem. Your friend is to be congratulated on it. ![]() ~Astraea "Sometimes stars can only be seen in darkness." "Sorrow's crown of sorrow is remembering happier things." |

This is a very good poem, and I hope that more people may read it and learn from it! "To the world you may be one person, but to one person you may be the world" |

I thought I hardly listened to my parents growing up but I guess I did about more than I thought because I turned out alright and now pray my 3 daughters are listening to me but I know if they don't listen to me now maybe they will hear me later at the times it really matters. But then other than saying I like what you wrote and your friend is very lucky. I probably shouldn't say so much because I am twice a teenager and not female. ![]() |
