Attitude towards betrayal

Take back your memories,
I am feeling used.
There isn't a sign from you,
To say that I'm not abused.

Take my picture with you,
To remind your head,
Of the way that you treated me,
And some of the things that you said.

A friendship isn't meant to be,
As painful as all this.
The way that you used to be,
Will be the one thing that I wont miss.

I gave you my trust,
And I don't mind that at all.
But the fact that you betrayed me,
Drives me up the wall.

I have built up my walls high,
To stop you hurting me again.
My heart towards my friends now,
Will never ever be the same.

Oh, betrayal is the worst.
But please try and grow from it
don't build walls out of it.
Nice work.
We need to continue to trust
even after betrayal or
unhealthy paranoia
can creep in.
