A perfect world had been molded, In the hands of an innocent girl. But in a second, just one heartbeat, The mold was shattered completely. Her existence was replaced, By a fearful demonic creature. This creature was her mind, Locked away from prying eyes. Her pain was deep and unimaginable, The blackness engulfed her entirely. When she looked in the mirror she saw what remained, And not what was to be. Swirling uncontrollably around in circles, This dream she called a life. There was nothing left for her to grab onto, At least nothing solid anyway. The night and days became hard, Distinguishing between them was impossible. For when things are this sorrowful, Everything looks the same shade. But as her blackness continues, So too does a spectrum of light. It is burried deep within her, Wanting to break out and be free. |

Wow, I try to write poetry like this, but it's never so deep. I admire your ability and I really love the poem. "Swirling uncontrollably around in circles" I feel like this often. |
