You look back on your past and see the things That could have been you, but are now me You look upon me as if I were a fond memory but I was never your past You have all the riches of the world But still you look at me as though I were all you have You see me as your love that has died but you never loved I am the thoughts that come to you in the night, haunting you to the point of insanity You think of me as the constant reminder of wrongs and shortcommings But I am not the monster, I am only your mind "If there is anything the nonconformist hates worse than a conformist it's another nonconformist who doesn't conform to the prevailing standards of nonconformity." Don't look... you might see. Don't listen... you might hear. Don't think... you might learn. Don't walk... you might stumble. Don't run... you might fall. Don't make a decision... you might be wrong. Don't live...you might die. |
