If only they would look past the outside,
And see what everyone else does.

So what if I look or seem so “different”,
A good look will reveal that I'm not “different”

I have a heart, and I feel pain,
Just the same as you, or him.

So what if I have a gash on my forehead,
Why does having such a thing mean I don’t deserve love?

Two eyes, a nose, and a smile,
Isn’t that something we all have?

So please tell me what they have,
That somehow, I lack?

I have the hair, the smile,
But my past is keeping me behind.

I secret that I thought was forever hidden,
But one day last week he said something.

I felt the tears building up in my eyes, and now they fall.
And now I’m sitting in the corner just a crying my eyes out.

I think this was great, I just began posting my first forum, it's called "Please Don't Hurt Me Any More!" but I've never come close to being as deep as you.

tamma: another writer spoke of the same situation when he said --
"Hath
not a Jew eyes? hath not a Jew hands, organs,
dimensions, senses, affections, passions? fed with
the same food, hurt with the same weapons, subject
to the same diseases, healed by the same means,
warmed and cooled by the same winter and summer, as
a Christian is? If you prick us, do we not bleed?
if you tickle us, do we not laugh? if you poison
us, do we not die? and if you wrong us, shall we not
     revenge?"

just thought i'd let you know that you are not alone

sincerely,
jerome the mysterious priest

 Disarm you with a smile
And leave you like they left me here
To wither in denial
The bitterness of one who's left alone

Sometimes the people we care about, hurt us the most.  Don't understand this but the important thing is that we retain who we are and keep strength of spirit.
Not everyone we trust will be worthy of our trust.  It's one of life's lessons that come with some pain.
Stay strong and most of all, don't change.  Who you are is who you should be.
Look forward to more of your writing.
