Some say love at first sight doesn’t exist Those people have never seen someone Looked into their eyes Heard them speak And known they would die for their love LOVE, not lust Love is more than sex appeal It looking into someone’s eyes And knowing that you would die for them Without a second thought And there is no worse pain in the world Than knowing you will never be loved By the one you want to be loved by It kills the soul It destroys the mind You can think of nothing else It’s always on the top of your thoughts You go places they will be You wear things they will like To try to get their love But it’s in vain for me There is no place that I can go Nothing that I could wear That would make him love me But I still love him... love at first sight "To the world you may be one person, but to one person you may be the world" |

i'll have to say that i'm a firm believer in falling "in love" at first site but if you have to change who you are it's not worth it i say. i dug the poem itself, it was very well written. i like it rich-pa |

Hi Lovebug! Glad I found you here posting today! I hope you turn to the teen/mentor forum and see my message. Now about your poem, I truly believe in love at first sight. I've heard some say that it happens when your spirit recognizes that person from a previous life (if you believe in that stuff) Whatever induces it, it surely exists, at least it did for me. There you go with that free verse. You write beautifully, unafraid to say what's in your heart. Very lovely. Liz |

lovebug: i fell in love with my sweetheart even BEFORE i first saw her *hehe*... this is an honest and heart-felt poem... sincerely, jerome the mysterious priest A savage place! as holy and enchanted As e'er beneath a waning moon was haunted By woman wailing for her demon-lover! ~Coleridge |

Thanks for the replies, all! rich-pa: In my poem, I'm just saying that I'm really willing to go out of my way to try to get him to notice me, I wouldn't change my personality for anyone... I don't even think I can! Elizabeth: I saw that you posted in the teen/mentor forum, but every time I try to see it, my screen freezes! I hope you don't think I'm ignoring you or anything! I didn't do free-form at first, but I'm starting to get into it! poetry_kills: I really think that's possible! Jer: Thanks! Your opinion means a lot to me! <!signature--> "To the world you may be one person, but to one person you may be the world" [This message has been edited by LoveBug (edited 02-10-2000).] |

I agree with Elizabeth. Spirits recognize what we in this life usually cannot. I wish my story to my love at first sight ended well. But it has not atleast not yet. All I know is that I got scared and ran after the first few months of relationship. I guess the love just ran so strong that it has burned itself into my heart. Hence my pen name Scorched Dragon. If dying is the process of living life to its end. Then what is living? |
