I Lay Limp

You've kissed me with your poisoned lips
And i swallowed the potion through
As the days went by, the moments were lost
And a beast was revealed in their place

You've touched me with your tainted hands
With the roughness of an angry bull
Endured the painted lies you threw my way
With no shield, left me battered and bruised

You've walked with me with a hidden agenda
And left me with nightmares for ages to come
Forced your way in, placed yourself inside of me
And i lay limp, hoping the stars would get me through

But they started to fade, and my breath grew slim
I lay limp with a body that was disgusting to own
It would soon be over, and you would walk free
And another would be mislead by your seductive ways

"It's my heart that pounds beneath my flesh
it's my mouth that pushes out this breath..."-FTE

nights: yet another moving work of art... this one moves in a different way than many of your others though... it feels more softly reflective and somehow more personal... i like it a lot...
