Will the memories stay?
I know what happened and its hard to forget,
but will the memories stay?
This is my secret, only a few people I trusted to tell
It was hard to talk about and thinking of it only brings back the pain,
so will the memories stay?
Maybe one day it will get easier and maybe I can talk about it,
Maybe someday, just maybe, but for now I
        wish that I could forget,
or will the memories stay?

Good job on the poem! It's good to talk about what happened to you, but only when you're ready. It will get easier.

wicced: expressively this is good, but i'm a little disappointed in the lack of literary devices in the poem... i've grown dependent on your creative metaphors and analogies... the poem just isn't the same without them... in-and-of itself this is a good poem, but i honestly feel you can do better... mabye give it a little more thought and delve deeper into these expressions...

sincerely,
jerome the boy with no brain

A savage place! as holy and enchanted
As e'er beneath a waning moon was haunted
By woman wailing for her demon-lover!
~Coleridge
