Caught off guard You're heart skips a beat The unexpected is shown To unforseen eyes A smile smeared Upon a face so pale, so cold Unthinkable desires of heartache Are brought before Untainted apparitions Shadows of the unwilling Return the favors you've offered Immersed with words And not a single thing to say A blank stare unfolds on What is shown before you Immersed with tears And not a single blink of the eye "It's my heart that pounds beneath my flesh it's my mouth that pushes out this breath..."-FTE |

Lovely poem. Very good. ~Astraea "Sometimes stars can only be seen in darkness." "Sorrow's crown of sorrow is remembering happier things." |
