She's haunted by your face
The memory of your touch
Your words she can't erase
Your love, your hope, your lies

She laughs when we can hear
But her smile is of stone
She's chased by unseen fear
And at night we hear her cries

The girl she was is gone
You took with you her soul
You may think you have won
But you've only lit a fire

No matter where you are
You'll always feel her pain
Which like a raging war
Howls outside your desire

WOW. Strong poem. I hope that you manage to find the girl that was before too long. Guys are jerks, aren't they?

lyric: eerily enchanting... very good work ;o)  the form and rhyme is well-done also... i commend you..

sincerely,
jerome the boy with numb hands

A savage place! as holy and enchanted
As e'er beneath a waning moon was haunted
By woman wailing for her demon-lover!
~Coleridge
