Ok, fair warning, this is a cruddy poem, and er well, whatever, I wrote it in 15 minutes so nyyyyaaaa LoL....

I was sittin' by the pool, just asoakin' my feet,
when the dinner bell rang...'twer time to eat.
So I picked up a towel...dried off my feet,
and from the pool, beat a swift retreat.

For this down-home cookin', is simply great,
you ain't seen nothin', unless you've ate,
my mom's home cookin', off a paper plate.

Yup, where I live, away out west,
down-home cookin', is simply the best.
All kinds of varmints and critters around,
makes our home cookin', the best all around.

Calories? Shucks, we never worry,
we take our time. Never in a hurry.
A dash of salt, a smudge of curry,
a few more herbs...a dash of sherry.

Podner, a finer meal you'll never see,
than my mom can fix, for her and for me.

ok ok so thismay not be the best reply to a challenge, but it's 4:30 in the morning, what do you expect? Sheesh! LoL, ok anyways, that's all buh-bye

Home Cookin' Down South included varmints and critters, too! LOL. But no paper plates... WE had to scrub our lil tin cups down by the creek! *G* Enjoyed, Echo!
