If I give you my secrets, will you keep them safe?
Or use them against me in a fit of rage?
Can you hold them dear so close to your heart?
No matter how juicy? No matter how tart?
Can you keep my secrets from prying eyes?
Can you ask no questions, so I'll tell no lies?
Will you love me for me in darkest hours?
Will you hold my hand and give me flowers?
When life gets tense and rainclouds pour,
Can you be there to love even more?
Can you take my fears and drive them away?
Can you keep my secrets just one more day?
Can you kiss my tears and laugh with me?
Can you hold my heart so tenderly?
Can you always be there to be a friend?
Can you be a lover to the very end?
I guess it's all just a matter of trust,
So trust it is....cuz it's love not lust.

Ohh...well done!
Sometimes its so easy to overlook some of the important parts of a great relationship!
(only one thing- what about what "you" would be willing to do?)

You know when I wrote this I considered that same question and came to the conclusion that if I want to be treated this well I have to treat others the same way and that has been my goal in my marriage since its inception. Sometimes it isn't easy but I try real hard.

I loved the poem!

------------------
It matters not how strait the gate;
How charged with punishments the scroll;
I am the master of my fate:
I am the captain of my soul.
