Oh yes it is me, I have returned.
Although my brain is totally burned!!
Oh God I think I have a case of poet's block.
Streams that once did flow freely, are now
blocked, and dammed up you see.

Once were skies filled with sunshine, now
are now dreary, and grey, surrounded on all
sides by darkness.

Oh how I wish I could find the sun again, and
my thoughts could rise up, and flow free once
more.

I look out my window, all I see is rain.

I see my soul, feel the struggle, and pain.

Where are the birds, basking in the sun, and
the little children having fun, all gone, just as is the turn of summer to autumn.

Soon to follow is the freeze of winter, the
cold, it runs through me, like the razor
sharp edge of a spear.

The winds of winter howl through the cold
night air, just like a lone wolf.

I am much looking forward to spring, a time
for everything new, the budding trees, the
blooming flowers, and spirits renewed.

Then comes the heighth of the year summer, ah
wonderful summer, the smell of fresh cut grass, and the taste of grilled burgers, and
ice cold beer.

Very nice poem, Richard!

Oh, and keep that writer's block away from you too, ok?
