Life can be so humourous, or life can be cruel, but better to live itm then appear just a fool. For no matter what the situation, it can always get worse, is it just a moment's dilemma, or a total life's curse? You start up the ladder, then they knock you back down, hard for you to smile, 'cause you're really not a clown. So brush off your knees, start to climb up again, life is indifferent, it can inflict all the pain. I ask you now, have you reaped what you sowed? Or perhaps it's too heavy, all the debts you do owe. Believe me I know, for I've travelled life's road, and it's really not living, shoulders bent from the load. Lift your chin and smile, remove the shadows from your eyes, perhaps all your adversities, are but blessings in disguise. When you think you can't bear, anymore pressure at all, just head up that ladder once again, forget the hurts when you fall... ------------------ ~*~ Time erases and rewrites all the lines. What remains is the poetry! ~*~ |

Life can be cruel. And it's never easy. That's why I always tell my girls to count their blessings (set your mind above...on whatsover is kind, lovely and worthy of praise...think on these things (paraphrase of course...I'm not good at memorization!) It does help! Takes lots of practice though! And God knows, I need all the practice I can get! (hey, maybe that's why adversity keeps coming...I need the practice! ...oooops...forgot to say GREAT POEM!!! ------------------ Denise [This message has been edited by dsnyder (edited 10-19-1999).] |
