You opened my door and a glacial draft blew ashes into every corner of my living room. Your face was the North Wind, in a nursery rhyme, ghostly wisps of hair were wildly disarranged. You stood winter lean in a blue aura. I fill the kettle, and from its tarnished spout, poured steaming dreams and hoped by holding warmth, you would melt a little... Stay. You left, hungry for the other side of New Zealand. Perhaps I'll fill the kettle once again and wait... No! I will fill it with flowers. |
