I
can't
breathe
silence in our bedroom
you never come home
and I wait
for all this anger
to be over
for all this love
to return
just until things fade
in the background of your mind
read your books
make the cut
get the grade
and forget all about what was
because this here...
it is the real world
you may be young
but never too young
to become your father
I am also ambitious
but love will never take second place
when it is for you
and I read the books
and I make the cuts
and I get the grades
I may be young
but never too young
to become your wife.
marry me.

Mia, this one gets to me. I feel a lot of emotion, even pleading perhaps, in the words that really strikes hard. Well done.

Excellent, Mia. I can feel the emotion here, too. Pulls at the heart, it does!
