Made it to survive

She knelt besides the waters edge
Looking deep inside.
Watching coral gardens grow and
Swimming butterflies.
Sketched her with my fountain pen so
Quiet her abide.
Set it down in black and white and
Made it to survive.
Stole it from the God of time for
Future idolize.
Something more then whimsy dream to
Stay before my eyes.
Now I hold the black and white with
Tears that never dry.
Alone by the waters edge of
Swimming butterflies.

Oh, my, Seymour, now you've gone and done it! My eyes can't see the screen for all my tears! This is absolutely beautiful! *snif* *wipe* This is one of them 'keepers' for the heart!

May I offer my humble opinion that this is the best of your great works that I have read? It is classical in its beauty, Seymour...one of those truly timeless poems that will live forever.

Seymore, all your works are great, but of them I think this is probably the best...no, I know it is the best. You have created a fine work of art with your words here. Beautiful, there are no other words for it

Have a great trip, Seymour! Again, excellent poem! Don't worry about the mascara. Having a poem evoke such emotion is worth the streaks!
