Spreading twilight
bathed in pink
Rare opalescence
A fading sun blends
into moonlight
Granted blissful
audience to the
final scene of
evening's hour
framed in the
open window,
pink surrenders to
night, accompanied
by the gentle applause
of breeze-ruffled trees
The day ends in
lustrous pearl-glaze
A vision of beauty
fleeting and chased
by the curtain of
velvet depth over
the hush of
October peace

Wonderful, Caroline. That pink at the close of the day preceding night IS a very beautiful sight.

Thank you all for your response. It is truly an honor to be blessed with scenes like those pink twilights. They don't come often. I wanted to share it

I SAID, use your imagination
and you did, to create a master piece with such beauty. But what next I ask?

This one likes the nature lover in me well as I have not seen sunrise or sunset for years.

So soft, I can almost touch that sky - this is a gift of a poem, Caroline.
