Tonight I Know She Must Go

Tonight I Know She Must Go

I want to say please stay, yet I can not utter the words.
So I stare at her longingly, hoping my silent thoughts are heard.

Is it to soon to request a night of passion;
or is my apprehension just a bit old fashion.

Does considering her feelings show that I really care;
or is the thought of rejection to much for my pride to bear.

Holding her in my arm, I feel the longing deep within my heart;
or is that simply the blood rushing to that other part.

But there's no rush, because I know one day her love I will know;
or is that just what I tell myself, because Tonight I Know She Must Go.
