I had a vision of a day when all the world was calm. We journeyed through a garden, connected palm to palm. The beauty all around us did inspire wondrous awe. We shared this moment you and I, amazed at what we saw. Animals that dwelt there weren’t stalking prey to eat. The lions and the tigers lay beside the zebra’s feet. Flowers that we saw there were like none we’d ever seen. The mountains and the valleys in their beauty quite pristine. A gentle river flowed between the flowers and the trees. The smell of grass and blossoms floating to us on the breeze. So tranquil was this calming scene that I relaxed my grip upon the hand I held in mine, I felt my vision slip. It seems that you were holding me in this calm paradise. When I let go, so did you, our love was sacrificed. I jumped from sleep to find you there beside me in the bed. It seems I had not lost my love, it was a dream instead. Pull me close beside you do not let me slip away. I hope I get the chance to visit the garden again someday. But for now I want to stay right here within your arms my love. Until my time on earth is done and I am called above. |

Lucie, You have made me laugh so hard it hurt at times. You have made me cry other times. You touch a wider range of emotion in me than most people even come close to. In all your poetry, I always see a semblance of hope...as I do in this one. I know things seem bleak sometimes, but always hang on to that hope and never lose your faith in God. These things will all be passed soon. ------------------ Michael Anderson Is all that we see or seem but a dream within a dream? |

I'm with Michael on this one - when I read your poetry, I never know what to expect ! It's always a pleasant surprise, on how you touch my emotion...You keep writing girl, use it as your release for what's bottled up inside you - you have a beautiful gift of expression ! ------------------ ~~ Lift your head high - spread your "words" and fly - - poetFemmeFatale |
