The Depths |

I sail on this great silent sea, Crossed by no word, no whispered thought, Mocked by crashing waves of despair, As seek solace of nameless port. Do not condemn this helmless ship Adrift in muted windless storm, For in the bottomless cold depths Of ocean's currentless void, Lies ghostly ships of past aground Shrouded by the sins of man. As sinking hull fades out of sight Into the murky depths below, Tempest calms as anchor fails, On sinking deck, I mourn my soul. |
