The beginning

Raised from heavens reap
Raptures deep.
A miracle
Male.
Drawn
Of
Dust and stone
Naked
Frail.
Skin and bone
Born
Naive
And
Then
There
was
EVE.

really nice....and just think....I had a guy tell me in another forum, which I won't mention, that he thought one word lines were stupid and pointless. I think a one word line can say it all as you have demonstrated.

Born naive and then there was Eve.....boy, does that say all that needs to be said! Good going, Sy.

I love the way the words tumble after each other, moving me through to the end of the poem.

How charged with punishments the scroll;
I am the master of my fate:
I am the captain of my soul.

"Ditto" to all the above. Oh, and that is why he made us second, he wanted to make sure he had it right!

Every great artist makes a rough draft first...then there was Eve. The verse is so flowing. I really like it.
