"We should be returning now, though I really don't want to!" said Roderick. He held out his hand and assisted Brianna in rising, She too would prefer to stay in their sheltered little glade, The forthcoming evening meal seemed unappetizing. They proceeded back to the castle, Roderick hesitantly took Brianna's hand, They felt the sparks flying from that single touch, His touch strong, yet gentle, the hand warm and tanned. Both sat at the Lord's table dining on roasted pheasant, Not seated together, though they felt side by side, Stolen glances, and smiles, reading each other's expressions, She thought to herself, her heart, had already endured quite a ride. After dinner there was to be some entertainment, To celebrate Brianna's arrival, Musician's played, people sang, and Roderick read an enthralling story, About dragons, love and betrayl. Brianna retired to her rooms as soon as would seem polite, Feigning tiredness from her trip, Longing to be alone with her thoughts, Perhaps she could find some meaning to all this? She was still a virgin, Yet with Roderick she felt such stirrings, She wanted him to be her first, He alone could set her body purring. It was all kind of overpowering too, And frightening in some ways, She only knew her feelings were true, And with him she longed to spend her days. Quite ashamedly she barely could admit it to herself, She hoped her Roderick would come to her this evening, And make her his tonight, And for many more. As she thought these thoughts, She couldn't believe her ears, Her handsome Roderick stood in the doorway, As she saw him she soon forgot her fears. He too was so mightily smitten, Could not stop his thoughts returning to his lovely Brianna's touch, It confused him also, how in the space of a day, This girl could mean so much. He crossed the room without a word, Enclosed her in his arms, She melted against him, and she glimpsed heaven and all it's charms. With words of loving and tenderness, They at last found one another, Shelted within the most loving embrace, Two hearts beating only for the other. Their loving took them to the stars and back, They'd never know such passion ever, Their missing pieces now filled, This bond they'd never sever. A total fulfillment, for body, heart and soul, A love others would come to envy, Soulmates found, Their union heavenly. Though I love how it is turning out... it doesn't quite the challenge meet... don't get me false.. I love it... but... you strayed a bit out of the challenge. EAB |
