Twice the more I have her twice within my heart, The younger and grown-up part. One fascinates my eyes today The other dreamy yesterday. Her innocent warmed me through, The childish trust that I knew. Even todays superintend, God, I love them both, no end. She is to me a real compound, The inner and the outward bound. The two of her, are one shell. The two of her, ring one bell. The tongue that struck the first adore And the back swing, to evermore. |
