I happened to stumble across an old aquaintance today, (which was quite nice ![]() This is a piece of my (limited) mind from '90! Love, Hate, Joy, Fear A secret, a death, one tear The depths of darkness The passion of a lover's kiss Look at the Earth, the way it heals And the pain, because of us it feels Listen to your heart's sad desire Hear the sound of your mind on fire Taste the mirth of the laughing moon Savor the dread of impending doom Speak the names of those who will Scream the sounds that others kill Touch the hearts of future to come Caress their souls or they will have none Smell the scent of a lifetime lost Inhale the smell of the bloody cost Do something to stop the pain to be Do something, do something to make them see. Ah yes....meeting old pals is nice....as was your poem.....Now if I could just find some of the poetry I'd written from school? Problem is, most of it was confiscated by the teachers and I usually ended up in detention for them. |

So I guess you've always been this way? hehe...you know I'm joking. I see pain the "pain" readily evident in your early works as I do mine...it's always been there. I also see your depth of perception came early on in life, too, that I would not have expected in a high school piece. Good job, Chris. Michael |
