(I have a love/hate relationship with winter...this is the love side!) The gentle slopes sleep quietly Beneath the quilt of white Watched over by the peaceful pines All through the frosty-night. The sparkling powder 'neath the moon A dazzling display It fills my soul with rev'rent awe Until the break of day. The sacred silence can be heard Resounding loudly in The ears of all who listen close A symphony therein. I have the same love/hate relationship as you Denise. You described the likeable part very well! Wonderful imagery. I love when it first snows and that sparkle it sets off, just awesome! |

Denise, your poem is very beautiful....I have often looked out the window at the reflecting ice diamonds and been awed by its silent beauty.
