As you watch your closest friend
Being dragged, right out from beneath you
Away from this earth?

Have you ever felt the pure helplessness
As you stare into their eyes
Wishing so desperately
To rid them of their pain?

Have you ever felt the flood of emotions
As you lay your cold hand
On their clammy shoulder
Watching their eyes close with agony?

Have you ever felt the rushing of memories
As you remember the good times
Where you laughed, and hard times
Where you cried?

Have you ever felt tha pin
As you watch their chest heave
Fighting for every breath
Feeling so small?

Have you ever felt the loneliness
As you watch them slip away
The pain floating from their features
Feeling so alone?

Have you ever sick with relief
As you watch their pain subside
And you kiss their cheek
And say goodbye?

This one is actually about a horse, letting someone/thing that you love go has to be one of the hardest things in the world. By the time i had finished writing, the page was all wet and salty!
