A Moment In Time

I forgot that I loved you
for one moment tonight.
Encircled by new arms
as he held me tight.

For just one moment
I thought to recall ,
that when your arms held me
I thought I had it all.

The pain that you left me
when you walked away
Was suddenly not there
when I heard him say....

"Forget that you loved him
for just this moment tonight.
Come into my heart
and I'll make it right."

As I looked in his eyes
I knew what I knew ...
That his arms now held me,
and I'd forget about you.

For just a moment
As he held me so close,
I remembered the night
when your memory became a ghost.

I forgot that I loved you
for one moment in time.
I'll embrace this moment
with this new love of mine.

Marge, this is just beautiful! Sometimes, I wish there was someone to hold me, and make me forget the past. But, I am afraid of getting close to anyone. Not that I have met anyone.
