The angle of death little did I know, was courting around my front door; but God had other plans for me, He wanted to take me higher than I ever hoped to be. Walking around with a big time bomb; Working and running doing my body irreversible harm. Tired and weak I said I need some rest; Little did I know I was facing a test. God worked a miracle in my life; When I for hours laid under the knife. The prayers of the saints did lift me up; But Jesus sustained me when he drank the bitter cup. At first couldn’t perceive what god had done; Neither the friendships my life style had won. I ask the question, God why me; I’ve tried in my services to be all I should be. Why not you, the Lord spoke back to me; There’s deeper things in this life I want you to see. I treasure the moments I’ve had with him; And the spiritual healing from limb to limb. A time of meditation with revelation too; I’ve surrender to God and what he’ll have me to do. God not only spared my life twice; But in my quiet hours gave me joy without price. God doesn’t ever do anything in vain; Although it might cause us a bundle of pain. He stops us sometimes dead in our tracks; To confirm our faith so we wont look back. I thought I had praised him with all of my might; But he’s brought me to another level after I came through this fight. Now I have a testimony like never before; My body bares a miracle I want the world to know. I Shall forever lift to god my praised; While striving for perfection and to know all his ways. Praising the Lord is not hard you know; And especially when he’s given you your life back and so much more. He is my refuge my Lord and my strength; Forever shall I praise him with this body he has lent. ------------------ W.M. Sampson |
