i wont ever walk with a cane there's no need of getting old ill just play out in the rain and catch my death of cold a cynical statement i just made but oh how well it did rhyme and there will be some lemonade for the good ole country time a matchbox has my name on it it lays worn beneath my bed i first burned a creeping sonnet that had escaped from my head i am sad but i am young there is more to life to waste it wont help to hold my tongue theres too much in life for haste i'd start by saying i am fine then close by saying i am sad but thats all right it's all mine the one feeling ive ever had watch it burn this dreary verse someone wrote it just for you if you cant help but feeling worse then dont think of it as its true [This message has been edited by wayoutwalt (edited 11-05-1999).] |
