I think Here I lie within my bed, Phrases flying through my head. Half in wake and half in dream, Siphoning my dreamers stream, Desperate to stay their shed. Some are plain and some are mean And some like angels seem. But I cannot judge them all And some I cannot recall, My best is but half a gleam. I try to stay, hold at bay, The awaking of day. I need but a little more, To fulfill the need of store. But it seems they will not stay. I think that I must leave this mode, For if I don't, I will explode. |

I always enjoy your poetry. The words whirl in my head at night too. I wish you technocolor dreams to write about in the morning or many fond remembrances of things past. |

I keep a notebook by my bed For words that whirl 'round in my head As I try to drift off to sleep. (A great rhyme lost can make one weep!) And the pages don't stay white For if I get up in the night That spiral's bound to pierce my foot... No words, just bloodstains, in that book! Great job, Seymour! |

WhtDove, I see I am not alone in poetic actions. Suthern, I can relate to that, I often go into the kitchen and open the micro wave for that little light. I don't want to wake anyone. |
