I refuse to wallow in pity, I refuse to be bogged down, In pain, grief and confusion, I refuse to wear that crown. I am all that I said I was, In 'I am' the poem part One, I am that and so much more, The final race is about to be won. I won't allow you to crush me, Any more emotionally, I will stand up, fight back and be strong, This is me, the way I'm meant to be. I believe in who and what I am, I know my heart is true, You've said it yourself - I care to much, But it's a part of me, what can I do? I AM the nuturing mother, I AM the loving wife, I AM beauty, grace and wisdom, These are parts of my life. I am a loyal and caring friend, I help anyone anyways I can, These ARE my beauties and joys, Which nothing, not even you can destroy. ------------------ Through poetry my heart and soul truly sing... ~Isis~ (Daughter of Mystery) |

i love the way you are very confident in this poem all to often ive seen woman fal apart for men, myself being one of them and i envy your strength. beautiful poem despite your pain. |

As you are is more than enough, for, while no one is perfect to all, being true o yourself is as close to perfection as any one who wore this poor flesh can be. It is the quisessance of that spirit that makes us what we are. Oh, and also what we eat as the old idium goes.. Thanks for the reply to 'and there' every reply to my art builds a confidence that was to often shattered.. till then, EAB |
