God knocked at the door of my heart one day
and I looked for a place to hide,
my soul was cluttered and choked with debris
and things were untidy inside.

I needed some time to put matters right
surprised he would call on me,
my soul needed cleaning from bottom to top
there were things He should not see.

There were tasks neglected, long overdue
cobwebs to be brushed from the wall,
brothers to love and people to be forgiven
I had not expected his call.

I stood with my hand on the latch of my hearts door
and gazed at the mess in the room,
when I opened the door my sould blushed to see
God had left on my doorstep---a broom!

Funny - - we are both in the same shoes! I too am "spring cleaning" my soul...my emotions. This really hit home for me, so I want to say an extra big THANK YOU....you spoke the words for me so I wouldn't have to. I know exactly what you're going through I believe. Chin up girl, I guess we better get busy, huh? Can I borrow your broom when you're done? hehe

PFF...Yup, I think we better get busy! I think I have an extra broom around here somewhere, cause I know I had one of my own before God gave me another one. Glad you liked it! Thank you for reading!
