Caught against my lonely sky,
I am
pinioned on a cloud
whose dragons swirl
unseen now for your
eyes are distant
and I half blind.

Could you only touch fire,
it would
never singe your wings
but further the beat
across all waters of
doubt and fear
safe into my heart's harbour.

An echoing cry resounds,
flights strong
and flights far
to the life of you,
close inside where none
may see your truth or
know the source of strength
that swallows every breath.

I walk so my only paths,
solitaire
having fallen from those
mythless clouds whose shapes
alone you knew and shared,
gifting me the bliss
of a understood world
and a known soul.

There is no freedom here,
without
the peace and hope
you wing to me
stretch out your feathers
rise into sweet light and
uncover those dragons again
those demons of the sky
fly to me.

Fly to me...

never lose the sight.
