Sea Of Love, Ocean Of Doubt

Tempest tossed, thunder torn,
Through salt and sky and sea.
Heart's hidden depths are borne,
To ford reality.

Plied oceans far too soon,
On schooner never sailed.
When wrought from northern winds,
Hope's mysteries lay veiled.

With battles through dark night,
Through thirst of arid day.
Spent searching for the light,
Beneath a murky haze.

Ever it is shrouded,
Always it lay clouded,
Secrets must be forced from life.
My love was doubted,
Through fear was routed,
When souls waters drowned in strife.

Then bright avian form appeared,
Vessel's beset with calm.
Storm's memory though seared,
This sailor seeks your balm.

The mists have now all cleared,
‘Gainst other paths I shout!
I weathered what I feared,
Now come allay my doubt.
