I Think He's Gonna Die

He was so very faithful,
Been so loyal all these years.
He's seen a lot of laughter
and we shared a lot of tears.
He always did my bidding,
never questioned my intent.
And when I told him where to go,
he always gladly went.
But now it seems he's taken ill,
I sigh and then I moan.
I think he's gonna die
and I'll be left here all alone.
Tomorrow's gonna be another
sad day at my house
until I go and buy myself
another puter mouse!

------------------
I look forward to tomorrow, while looking back on the past. But today is the day I am living. And I expect it to be a great day!

Thanks Denise, . And you can bet I'll be looking for a bargan. This one is just all but gone. Tried to clean him up but to no avail.

Thanks, Watcher. It is sad. I was almost in tears over the little rodent while I wrote it. It gets frustrating.

LOL - You know, I wasn't gonna read this at first, I even skipped over it a couple of times because I thought it was gonna be real depressing...and of late, I've had enough of that on my own (sigh) however, I decided to stop and read, and am so glad I did !! LOL What a funny little twist at the end ! I liked this alot - - thanks for the smile !

Thanks, Jenny, Pepper, Hoot.
I made a deliberate effort to pull a switcheroo on this one. If the chuckle came through the back door, I accomplished my intent.

PFF, glad you stopped in for a .
Even more pleased that I gave you a when you were not expecting it.

Well you certainly accomplished what you set out to do. I thought it might have been an animal such as a dog or something. Then it turns out as your puter mouse. Very good twist there. LOL
