To Day Neither sister, nor brother ~ nor one love following another will ask you to stay, as dusk ~ to dawn ~ to day. You are free in your bonds of loneliness no one to hold to, no one to kiss no one to ease your pain. Dream sweet, dream again. In your restless, searching sleep seeing yourself tied in bonds you weep. What do you want? I’ll not tease nor taunt you to stay, as dusk ~ to dawn ~ to day. Free in loneliness, pulling taut, once you fought against the fates soon no longer to bear the weights. Pray God you’re not too late. Fate shall go on, as dusk ~ to dawn ~ today. Circa 1970 ©KRJ 2 October, 1999 ------------------ Sunshine Look, then, into thine heart, and write ~~~ Henry Wadsworth Longfellow |

I love this Sunshine You are free in your bonds of loneliness no one to hold to, no one to kiss no one to ease your pain. Dream sweet, dream again. Excellent, my dear! ------------------ The only man worth your tears will never make you cry... |

Thank you Caroline. It's quite old, but I thought I'd pass it by you folks for a look-see. |

I’m glad I read this one Sunshine. You have done such a brilliant job of conveying the feeling and sentiment within the structure and form of the verse. To the top you go. |
