Hush of dawn rests like benediction
Over silent grandeur of towering mountains,
Flushed sky brightens into fiery eruption.

Violent paroxysm portends destruction,
Dark cloud descends as blackest night
As earth is rent in Hell's retribution.

Tongues of flame from Styx's explosion
Bring forth streams of fire as ocean's tide,
Flow over land to life's expulsion.

Five thousand souls in conflagration,
Euphemia sinks into earth's bosom,
Swallowed whole, annihilation.

Clouds of dust obscure forgotten foundation,
Remnants of forgotten existence,
Melancholy ruins of desolation.

Okay...quit showing off now Excellent work here...what a rhyme scheme you got going on there.

I sit here in extreme frustration
I don't possess your imagination
To create such a masterful creation
Like yours, would be my salvation

Thank ya Hoot...
tried something a little different...
don't think it has much to do with imagination... just a few bricks shy of a load...

Very descriptive....I can feel the heat! And too, the pain. Very well done, Mike.
