As I walked down the road,
You passed right on by me
Giving only a quick glance
As you would any stranger.
But I shouldn't be
Just another person to you.
As you looked at me in that one second,
I searched your eyes
For even the smallest sign of recognition.
But there was none.
Not a trace.
You can't forget me just like that.
How could you do this to me?
Sure, you know my name,
But you don't even remember
What I look like.
You don't even recognize me
As we walk along the street
Passing eachother by.
Well, you should recognize me,
Because you see part of me
Every time you look in the mirror Dad.
