The Dilemma Suspended between two worlds, I crave adventure and absurdity But substitute sameness and stability, Never quite brave enough to gulp But only to nibble and to sip. What if I venture too far into that other life Only to find that there is no life? If I step too far into the bright And can never return? Damn morals and sensibleness. Curse reasonableness. I teeter between Where I ought to be and Where I want to be. If I leap the chasm, Or simply extend my hand beyond What I know is safe, To grasp, To embrace, That other world, And find that it fills me With a sweet, but long forgotten joy, Shall I ever again be satisfied with Security? @ 1997 Pat Hornsby Crochet |

Decisions, decisions, decisions! Ah, but I think it is always wise to listen to caution! Great writing here! I enjoyed this very much! ------------------ Denise |
